Complete FY 2018 Funding

The following letter was sent today to Pennsylvania Senators Casey & Toomey:

Complete FY 2018 Funding Protect People with MS

Dear Senators Casey & Toomey,

Continuing resolutions threaten vital programs and services for individuals living with multiple sclerosis (MS) and their families. Any lapse in Congressional appropriations could potentially halt progress on cutting-edge research for MS or other neurological diseases through the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the MS Research Program at the Department of Defense (DoD).

In addition to medical research funding, I support the Lifespan Respite Care Program and the National Neurological Conditions Surveillance System: a nationwide system at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to track the incidence and prevalence of neurological diseases, including MS, which could one day lead to a cure.

Funding the government through the remainder of the fiscal year assures individuals living with MS and their family members will have access to supports and life-changing research. I respectfully ask you to complete funding for fiscal year 2018.

Sincerely
